Notable experiences:

  • He and his sister Slamanderkit were born to (?) and Tinytoad just before RiverClan's exile.

  • RiverClan is attacked - Shellkit just about understands what's going on, but doesn't understand why.

  • Mostly unscathed, his mother Tintoad returns from battle and ushers him and his sister to the abandoned twoleg den.

  • Alone with his thoughts on the journey, Shell develops daydreaming as a coping mechanism.

  • Shellpaw receives him apprentice ceremony in the mountain camp, and Oliverat becomes their mentor.

  • During his first gathering, Seapaw decides that Slugpaw is a spy. A ThunderClan cat and nice? No way!

  • When drama occurs involving Duskleaf, Seapaw hears someone mention that Dusklion (Stormstar) did something worse. This captures Seapaw's attention - what could RiverClan/s deputy could have ever done wrong?

  • Fadingstar holds an open forum, Seapaw joins to gather intel on whatever RiverClan/ its deputy did wrong before he was born. He learns that, yes, the leader and deputy are not actually perfect, and thus, RiverClan isn't either. Did RiverClan bring exile upon themselves? Was... Slugpaw not really a spy? It starts to become apparent that the other clans might be just like RiverClan, and maybe... Not actually evil. Fadingstar is chased away.

  • Stormstar returns, and Seapaw hopes for a better future.

  • Seapaw is reassigned to Amberflare - but he never finds her/ meets her.

  • Tinytoad has gone missing again, Seapaw doesn't know what to do with himself.

  • Stormstar passes.

  • Seapaw starts finding it hard to leave the den - seeing Stormstar's body in the clearing hurt them more than ever, a reminder of all the pain they'd seen in their kithood. Additionally, they find little motivation to get out at all. They've never even seen their mentor, let alone had any lessons with them. They feel sick, but they don't understand why.

  • Salamanderpaw comes to talk to Seapaw. He promises never to disappear, like Tinytoad did, or like any of their mentors. They promise they'll stay here for her. Salamanderpaw gives him a bit of a pep talk - in a Salamanderpaw way, of course - "Cats who vanish don't; there are too many of those, and if they all have to matter then you'll probably never stop being sick."

  • Some rumours spread, about Seapaw avoiding battle training - Salamanderpaw takes it upon herself to come shouting in the clearing, enough so that Owlstar's attention. Seapaw comes running out the den, a little embarrassed. They decide they better take it upon themself to sort out this training out.
